Capcom Go to Africa

Whenever Capcom release their latest instalment of the survival horror game Resident Evil, the computer gaming industry work themselves up into an unprecedented hype. Adverts on Bill boards, TV and radio begin to display and in all honesty there is no way in getting rid of the blood thirsty zombies.

The resident evil franchise is by no doubt one of the best selling of all time. Since its debut on the PlayStation console in 1996, it has gone on to make millions for the producers and please millions of gaming fans. So let us take a brief look at the latest in the series to be released and that comes in the form of Resident Evil 5.

A lot of people have described the latest instalment as something very similar as RE4, the game play seems to be a lot faster. But what makes the game so different is that it is based on what you could call Kenya holidays. The game in fact pretty much relies on African safari scenes and if you are playing the game alone then you are definitely bound to get a freight.

The previous titles were all based in pretty much the same scenario, but this instalment takes you out into the wild and you never know who you may find your self battling against. The game itself has a lot more action then previous games, but the movement and handling lets it down. As we move into the next generation of gaming we have seen titles be release that just offer so much more than RE5 and in all honestly if the franchise wants to continue then they must look at reinventing the wheel.  Both for the game consoles and on the big movie screens where the films have just become very tiresome.
