Reasons to use an Online Data Backup Service
Hackers, viruses, acts of nature — even a coffee cup is capable of destroying years of your precious data.Today often a lot of our dearest memories and possessions are stored in a digital format on a hard drive or memory storage device, you’d think that the majority of us would do anything to keep this data safe.
Just for a moment think what would happen if you lost all of your personal photos in a house fire.Or maybe a robbery occurred at your home and they took all of your personal income tax information from the last twenty years from your office filing cabinet.
The scary thing is that unless you are one of the people who have setup a back system on their home PC you could be leaving yourself open to this happening any day.
What is an online data backup service?
An online data backup service is a private, secure storage solution for your most sensitive data. These programs and services connect with your desktop and provide a secure interface for you to transfer files and folders to a secure location online that is protected and watched over by PC security every day all day.Storing files this way is the online equivalent of a safe deposit box for your important documents, jewelery and other items.
Carbonite and Mozy backup are two of the most popular online data backup services. The standard Carbonite or Mozy review will tell you that these services are well worth the price: they protect you and your family from the prying eyes of the internet and the unpredictability of home electronics.
Should I be using an Online Data backup Service?
For starters you value your privacy. Because you want the peace of mind that comes with knowing that a team of professionals are keeping their watchful eyes on your valuable data. Because you don’t want to take any chances with your personal information.
After a hard ware crash recovering data costs a lot of money and is usually not effective. And why wait until after your data is lost to try to recover it?Being a responsible PC owner and user requires you to be proactive about avoiding data loss and ensuring that important data is backed up for a rainy day via a proper online backup service.

Another simple online backup solution you should consider is my company’s backup software, Memeo AutoBackup. At Memeo we advocate that our customers do two things when they establish a backup plan: 1. Create a backup on an external hard drive, USB drive, etc. It is a lot easier to retrieve just one file if you have it on an external drive versus trying to download all your files from an online backup. 2. Backup your files and documents online – you never know when something will happen to both your computer and backup hardware. Our software automatically backs up your files both online and to an external drive. You should check out Memeo at http://www.memeo.com.

I backup my files and emails with a very easy to use software called Titan Backup, the destination is a 500gb WD harddisk, but the company stated that an online feature is under work also. Give it a free trial here.
I also got my hands on a 30% discount coupon from them, during the order process enter this coupon:NEOB-M5VL
