Falling Stars

feature photo

For 2008, there is a meteor shower on August 12, 2008 called the Perseids, so named because meteor appears to fall from a point in the constellation Perseus. People call meteor shower as shooting stars or falling stars because of the streaks of lights seen across the sky. Bright moonlight makes it difficult to see all but the brightest meteor. Some believe that wishing while seeing a falling star makes it come true. To best view a meteor shower, drive away from the glow of city lights and find a safe, dark site where you can lay back and wait for the spectacular display of stars falling. Unlike shower parties where baby shower party gifts are in abundance, list all your wishes and read them fast when the stars come falling down.
