It’s unusual when a World of Warcraft guide focuses on more than one facet. Most guides single out tasks such as speed leveling, gold, player vs player (PvP), or professions. In spite of it’s large size, the guide is regularly updated with all game patches and expansions.
The Ultimate WoW Guide is collection of 3 parts. Section one is focused entirely on leveling your character as fast as possible whether you are playing Horde or Alliance. Any leveling guide current with the times uses an in-game add-on, and this guide comes with a great one. I don’t know anybody who liked alt-tabbing between their game and an old PDF guide, and with this guide you won’t have to.
The guide configures itself to your toon after you complete a quick and simple install process. After that you’ll be ready to use the guide to find out precisely what to do and where you need to go. Getting around is really easy with the guide’s arrow on screen pointing out where to go next. Way points are also all shown with markers on your game map. It’s incredibly intuitive and doesn’t ever get in your way.
Another useful feature of the in-game guide is that it also addresses class specific quests. The supplied gear spec guide is fairly comprehensive and covers all classes up thru level eighty. One thing not currently seen in any other guides is that Dugi’s Talent Guide is completely within the game. There are pre-configured templates that you choose that ensure you’re using the most efficient leveling spec for your toon.
Part two is the gold making guide. Trying to make gold while you are power leveling from 1- 80 isn’t really required and will definitely slow you down. The gold making guide focuses primarily on strategies for higher level characters but does include some strategies that lower level characters can also use. The only time you may actually need to amass gold in earlier part of the game is to save up for your mounts. The guide covers the best tactics for the auction house, and the best locations to farm for in-demand items. Dailies are also covered. The guide will have you amassing a fortune in no time. Choosing the right professions will help you make gold much faster and the included professions leveling guide has everything covered.
PvP is covered in the third and final section of the Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide. PvP is the one thing I enjoy the most about the game. The guide has strategies for every single race/class combination. You will receive a list of mods and macros that make PvP much easier to master, and a guide for selecting the best PvP talents.
